CREATech aims to serve as SIBAT’s resource center for advisory, information, demonstration and training, and fabrication – for community-based RES.
SIBAT’s 20-year track record in CBRES will be compiled in the CREATech, for accessing by and dissemination to proponents, practitioners and advocates.
CREATech will serve as a one-stop shop for advisory to current and potential proponents and practitioners. Advisory will be through pre and full feasibility studies, business plans, needs assessment, project development assistance, technical documentation and others.
CREATech will help disseminate CBRES through trainings: on basic CBRES for potential proponents, maintenance and operation for operators-technicians, and special RE trainings for interested groups and individuals.
CREATech will demonstrate and showcase CBRES prototypes.
CREATech will establish and operate a machine and instrumentation shop for fabricating parts and components of a CBRES. The shop will produce innovations on RE technologies that are appropriate to needs of communities.
CREATech will install a test rig for MHP, as a means to measure efficiency and test system operation and reliability before installation.
Once operating, CREATech will offer a unique set of services for CBRES partners, practitioners and other interested parties. All together, CREATech is going to be a one-stop shop that will cover CBRES needs in one place, from pre-up to post-installation services and concerns.
Target Groups
The target group of CREATech consists of all CBRES partners and practitioners.
CREATech’s main target population lives in the major island of Luzon, dispersed in 5 regions. The locations of the ommunities vary in accessibility or remoteness from the town centers, but are generally inaccessible by ordinary transportation during the rainy season of each year.
Ethno-linguistic groups or indigenous peoples of Northern Luzon, mostly inhabiting the vast highlands of Cordilliera Administrative Region in municipalities ranked 3rd to 5th class in income classification, characterize most CBRES communities
