May 28, 2024 – SIBAT together with the Peoples Organization and Local Government Unit launches groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of new Micro Hydro Power System in the village of Lapat, Barangay Nabuangan, Conner and the village of Puriked, Barangay Katablangan, Conner both in the province of Apayao Philippines. Green Empowerment was also present in the launching represented by the Asia Program Director Geo Corneby and Katty Yenna, intern from USA doing her research and field study advocating the benefits of Community Based Renewable Energy Systems (CBRES) for rural communities in the Philippines.
